How to close all tabs on your iPhone's Safari browser

1. On your iPhone's home screen, tap the Safari icon to open the app.

2. In the lower right-hand corner of your screen, tap the tabs icon, which appears as two overlapping squares.

3. Once the tab carousel appears, press and hold the "Done" option in the lower right corner of the screen for two to three seconds to launch an additional menu.

4. An option will appear to close all tabs. Tap this to close all tabs immediately and return to a blank home screen in Safari, which will display your bookmarked sites as small squares.

Once the option to close all your tabs at once appears, tap it.

From here, you can either choose one of these bookmarks to navigate to, or use the toolbar at the top to type in the URL of the site you wish to visit, or a search term.

It should be noted that unless you've bookmarked the particular tabs you closed, you'll only be able to find them again via your History menu. Any unsaved form data or other submissions in the tabs will also be lost, unless you've saved them.
